Club Benares is a film community open to everyone who loves cinema. Founded by Charlie Chaves in 2023 in Lisbon, the club's original concept was to bring together a group of people, like a rock band, united by the desire to create independent films.

That idea remains alive, but the project has evolved. Today, Club Benares aims to be a space where professionals, students, amateurs, and enthusiasts can share experiences, exchange ideas, and collaborate on new projects.

Over time, the Club has grown and begun organizing events, screenings, debates, networking sessions, film productions, and festivals that bring artists and audiences together, strengthening the bonds within the community.
